Dear friends and colleagues: You are invited to join us for a series of events to learn more about how public school funding works and what we can do as citizens to help sustain quality public education in the Chippewa Valley. Our League chapter and co-sponsor the Wisconsin Public Education Network invite you and your members and communities to:
Thursday, January 15, 4:00 p.m. by zoom, Public School Funding 101--What We Citizens Need to Know, Session 1;
Thursday, February 19, 4:00 p.m. by zoom, Public School Funding 101--What We Citizens Need to Know, Session 2; and
the final, in-person, capstone event on Tuesday, March 3, 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the L.E. Phillips Memorial Library in Eau Claire, Public School Funding--Facts and Challenges for the Chippewa Valley, featuring five presenters who are public education leaders in our communities:
Chad Trowbridge, Business Manager, Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District;
Eric Wright, Superintendent, Elk Mound Area School District;
Mike Johnson, Superintendent, Eau Claire Area School District;
Rachel Henderson, Board President, School District of the Menomonie Area.
Chris Hambuch-Boyle, Wisconsin Public Education Network.
And Master of Ceremonies Debra Cronmiller, Executive Director, League of Women Voters of Wisconsin.
